Young Napa star discovered by Angels
- Alex's first job out of winemaking school was for a famous Napa Valley winery. She absorbed its classic traditions and techniques, but she knew her own dream – to make classic wines joyous and modern – would be years away.
- Most young winemakers have to work 10, 15, even 20 years to earn a Winemaker title. Alex's big dreams weren't going to wait, so she asked Angels for a jumpstart, and they launched her into the big leagues.
- It was a clever investment. Not only is Alex one of Naked's top winemakers, she's earned Best in Class, Double Gold and Gold medals for her independent wines produced with your support. And she's just getting started!

Alex Farber's Story
"I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Viticulture and Enology, and I have been working in winemaking ever since. I've gotten to do harvests in Napa and Chile, flipping between the northern and southern hemispheres to do more than one harvest a year.
"I became a winemaker because it blends art and science, and I love doing something that has a finished project that my friends and family can enjoy.
"I have been working with world-class winemakers for the last 5 years, and this is my first time making wines on my own – so this is a big step and I want to thank my Angels.
"On top of my personal wine project, I get to help manage the whole team of Angel-funded winemakers (there's more than 130 of us now!), and I love that I get to work with winemakers from all around the world. I am learning so much so quickly!"
