About the wine
Rich, Reserve Tempranillo from the heart of Alentejo
- Filled with rich blackberry and plum flavors, this Reserve red finished with a silky finish from oak aging.
- Thanks to your funding, Ana hunted out Old Vine Tempranillo from two mountainside vineyards in the Serra D’Ossa range of Portugal — a treat for any rich red lover.
- This Reserve red is ready to shine at your table…grab a bottle (or two!) and taste this dreamy Tempranillo for yourself.
Best before
This Tempranillo is intended to be enjoyed within 3-8 years. I'd dare say that its bold fruit and structure will make it a terrific wine to be consumed immediately.
If you prefer a smooth, dusty tannin profile, then I would lay it down for a few years ( or more!), and surely you will be rewarded with evolved fruit notes and lush tannins, with a rounder, longer finish on the mouthfeel.
Serving advice
Like most of my wines, this one is young, bold, and fruit-driven. So, letting it breathe is a must!
Open your bottle for at least 1 hour before enjoying it. You will be rewarded with these intense fruit notes and lush, lingering tannins that elongate the finish.
Food match
This is a bold red wine that can live up to any hefty meal.
Tempranillo is always the chosen pairing for my favorite Altentejo dish, Migas de Espargos. A hefty dish, made with bread, asparagus and regional sausages ("chouriço")- it is absolute perfection.
Contains sulphites
