About the wine
.
- We are loving this Rousanne from Charles Simpson. Normally a grape variety that is blended with the likes of Marsanne, Charles has given the grape a chance to shine all on its own with this pure 100% version.
- Lovely white peach and fresh melon fruit flavours, with a touch of creaminess on the finish make this big white eminently drinkable.
- Try it with a bit of coronation chicken. Sounds like an awful combination, but works like a dream.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Charles Simpson
- Take Simon Templar, drop him and his sportscar in the middle of the Languedoc, and you'll get a vague idea of what's hit the French square between the eyes - namely Charles Simpson, an Englishman abroad, doing ridiculously good things with wine.
- Charles is absolutely nuts about wine - and considering he only started tinkering around with it a few years ago, we reckon he must appear on the gifted and talented list at winemaking college if his trophy cabinet is anything to go by.
- Try his Pinacle Syrah. It's super intense, rudely inexpensive and - in our humble opinion - an absolute winner.
