Hearts & Bones Margaret River Cabernet Merlot 2015
About the wine
What's better than a premium Aussie Merlot? Putting Cabernet inside!
- We are whipping out the big guns...and that starts with this showstopping, top-shelf Cabernet Merlot from Stuart Pym.
- Rich and complex with plums and blackberries, high-end wine like this would normally cost an arm and a leg...but Angel funding makes this Australian beaut an everyday pleasure.
- Stuart's Cabernet got a new surname- and it isn't nearly as difficult to say as Sauvignon. He was bored of standard reds- so this Aussie went and blended up Cab Sauv and Merlot grapes together. His alchemy is your well-deserved gain.
Best before
This wine drinks beautifully in its youth, but will truly blossom with 5 years in the cellar, and then mature for at least another 5 years, for those patient ones.
Serving advice
If you are organised, open the bottle about 1-2 hours before you think you will be drinking it. Decant the wine, and return back to the bottle, unless you have a fancy decanter, in which case, leave the wine in it.
Food match
Slow roast Arkady lamb leg with roast vegetables
Contains sulphites
