Laetitia’s silky-smooth, Cabernet-based Bordeaux – replete with the purest flavors of red berries, ripe red plums, savory spices and gentle toasted oak – immediately transports you to Pauillac. It’s like the Cadillac of France’s famous 18 Grands Crus Classés.
“Château La Rose” – her estate – is a shared co-op managed with fellow independent growers, and tended to like gardens. Château La Rose Pauillac is the only wine harvested from tiny plots all over the region – and it’s beaten some neighboring Grands Châteaux in blind tastings. With your support, Laetitia and the growers have a shot at remaining independent – you can help put this wine’s name in lights.
“La Rose is great for the price. It’s the wine of multi-generational, passionate workers showcasing the richness of Pauillac,” says Laetitia. (Not to mention a Gold medalist at the Challenge International du Vin!) Meet the winemaker - Laetitia Roca
- Laetitia was born into France’s most acclaimed region, Pauillac – the famous Left Bank Bordeaux subregion home to 3 of Bordeaux’s 5 Premier Cru (First Growth) estates (Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Latour) – the high roller’s club.
- Since 2013, Laetitia’s been the Head Winemaker at La Rose Pauillac – a winery cooperative with 25 growers, producing Cabernet Sauvignon-based blends from vineyards they tend to in an ancestral way like gardens.
- Angel support can prevent the vineyards of La Rose Pauillac from going into the hands of the grand Châteaux. “Naked Wines is very important to us because it keeps La Rose Pauillac alive and it allows us to continue,” she said. You can keep Bordeaux indie - by supporting her wines!
