Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of wines sold at other companies, that have received the same customer ratings or awards from third parties.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
If you love Pinot Noir - you'll love this rich red!
With flavors like cranberry, wild strawberries, juicy black plum and a subtle touch of oak spice, you’ll find yourself reaching for this vibrant, easy-drinking red time and time again.
Angel funding gave Matt access to Grenache from high-elevation Amador County vineyards in California Gold Country, where the iron-rich soils and lots of sunlight help to make this intensely fruity wine.
Matt says his Grenache is like “warm-climate Pinot Noir” – super food friendly. Bring home some bottles, fire up the grill and try some of his faves like bacon-wrapped scallops, marinated chicken thighs and pork tenderloin.
Best before
This is ready to enjoy now but will age nicely for the next 5-10 years if cellared in a cool, dark place.
Serving advice
Open and let it breathe for 15-20 minutes to allow it to open up and soften.
Food match
Some of my favorites are bacon-wrapped scallops, marinated and grilled chicken thighs, grilled pork tenderloin, pasta primavera with crème fraîche and grilled veggies.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Matt Michael
- Matt has spent over 2 decades making 90+ rated wines in Sonoma County at renowned wineries like Quivira Vineyards, Sebastiani, Robert Young and Baldassari, so he’s primed to make wines for you!
- Matt’s mission is to bring Angels lesser-known Mediterranean varieties like Picpoul, Barbera and Grenache. They’re unlikely heroes here in the states but really flourish in Amador County in California's Sierra Foothills. He’s pumped to show off what this region can do.
- Matt first met Angels in 2020 as a recipient of Naked’s COVID Relief Fund. You helped him stay on his feet when his Windsor tasting room was closed. Fast forward – now Matt’s working with premium grapes from one of California’s finest under-the-radar appellations – his dream come true!
