About the wine
Single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Sonoma's next "it" vineyards!
- This mouthwatering, yet soft sipper is berry delicious with fresh flavors like juicy cherry, bright cranberry and ripe raspberry. There’s a bit of classic spice, but it’s thoughtful and refined – thanks to the Glaabs aging in both stainless steel and oak barrels.
- Angel support helped Megan and Ryan harvest top-tier Pinot Noir from Frates Vineyard in Sonoma Coast’s famed Petaluma Gap, where coastal winds and fog funnel into the vineyard daily, resulting in intensely concentrated, rich flavors.
- “It’s seductive and elegant,” say Megan and Ryan. “Taste the energy and supple richness that make Pinot shine in California.” Snag a few bottles of this debut and prepare to fall in love.
Best before
This wine should age beautifully for 5 years or more but is ready to drink.
Serving advice
It will benefit from decanting to encourage the aromatics to emerge.
Food match
We love this with a simple tomato-based sauce pasta or grilled salmon.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Megan & Ryan Glaab
- Ryan and Megan aren’t your typical Wine Country Cabernet duo. They’re after the best-kept secrets in the Valley — seeking old heritage vineyards with rare, underrated Italian grapes like Vermentino and Aglianico. A bit rebellious? Maybe. Absolutely worth it? Definitely.
- And they have the expertise to do it with combined experience at Torbreck, Sine Qua Non, Marcassin, Pax, Peay and their own brand, RYME Cellars. They’ve dreamed of expanding with another brand, aptly named Verse, to take on even more opportunities to work with unique fruit from the best growers.
- Thanks to Angel support and the COVID Relief Fund, Megan and Ryan were able to keep their operations going in 2020 and start their next Verse to make the wines they truly love and share their unique vision with the world.
