About the wine
Silky-smooth, fruit-driven Pinot Noir from hillside Santa Barbara vineyards
- This vibrant Pinot Noir is a juicy, fruit-forward easy-sipper, complete with ripe cherry flavors, a backbone of toasty oak and a luxuriously smooth finish.
- With the help of your funding, Rick harvested this plush Pinot from his choice of breezy oceanside vineyards throughout the sunny hills above Santa Barbara and aged the wine in premium oak barrels for an extra lavish texture.
- This is a complex, acclaimed Pinot (it’s won all kinds of medals for past vintages!) – so silky and smooth, it'll wrap you up like a warm winter sweater. If you're hankering for the perfect holiday wine, you've found it!
Best before
This Pinot will be delicious now, but will also reward Angels that can hang on to a bottle or two for 3-4 years.
Serving advice
Open this Pinot for any occasion, whether you're barbecuing with friends, hanging by the fire, sharing some with your partner, enjoying it after a long day at work, or even opening it for your birthday dinner. Pop the cork and fill your glass!
Food match
Oak-smoked pork chops with caramelized onions, homemade arugula, goat cheese and olive pizza would be a perfect match. So would wild goose sausage on the grill.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Rick Boyer
- We’ve been looking for an experienced winemaker familiar with the
Central Coast and Monterey area in particular – we knew Rick fit the bill. He's farmed gorgeous, cool SoCal vineyards for over 25 years! - He had been making wine his whole life, but got out of the biz (to start a bonsai
business) because the risk and middlemen got in the way of his passion. He's back in, thanks to you! - What makes Rick's wines special? "I take a different perspective compared to a lot of other wines out there - like Euro style; feminine; delicate - like focused generous reds, focused complex whites; plenty of persistence, fruit, and flavor."
