"Just out of college I jumped at a chance to become a fisheries biologist in Alaska. I moved on to focus on chemistry by becoming a clinical medical technologist, working in medical labs and specializing in special chemistries.
I view wine as both a science ad a craft. It is good to know the chemistry behind winemaking, but better to know the craft. My job is guide the wines in one direction or another. You can’t force the wine to become what you want, but suggest where it wants to go."
