About the wine
Hand-harvested South African Chardonnay - yours for a song
- With layers of zesty citrus and buttery oak flavors, this Chardonnay is the perfect balance of richness and vibrance.
- The simple truth every Chardonnay fan needs to know is that South Africa can make this stunning white for an incredible price. Land, labor and production costs are much lower – even with a hand-harvested Reserve wine like this one.
- And thanks to Angel funding, the de Wets can pass those savings on to you. So now you can have a classy Reserve Chardonnay that's such a bargain, you won't feel guilty pairing it with some deliciously down-to-earth fried chicken.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stephen & Jamie de Wet
The de Wet’s are one of the longest-serving and most successful winemaking families in Robertson Valley. With your funding, they’ve built a world-famous brand in Arabella – and the highest-rated, best-selling regional Reserve Cab in Naked history.
Stephen’s made wine from the family vineyard since the tender age of 17 and he’s passed his passion onto son Jamie, who now makes wines hand-in-hand with Dad at the de Wet’s 16th-generation family farm.
...and thanks to Angels, the de Wet boys make more crowd-pleasing Arabella wines than pretty much all your winemakers put together. To be precise – in a stacking contest, the total number of wines they’ve made for you beats the height of 226 Everests. Talk about the peak of a career!
