Camille Benitah North Coast Chardonnay 2020
About the wine
Rich, barrel-aged Chardonnay from a Napa icon
Vibrant flavors like tropical fruit and citrusy orange blossom start this Chardonnay off before opening up to rich, mouth-filling layers of buttery, toasty oak from Camille’s choice of special barrel fermentation.
Thanks to your funding, Camille harvested top-quality Chardonnay from the cool, fog-shrouded vineyards of Petaluma Gap, Sonoma's newest appellation, then barrel-fermented and aged her wine in French Oak for a smooth, creamy texture.
Camille is one of the most sought-after talents from Napa to her native France, combining the best influences from both into high-end wines. For funding this worldwide icon, you get this elegant white with an exclusive $14 Angel savings!
Best before
You can keep it for a couple years, but it's very nice now!
Serving advice
The best temperature is 55° , which can be achieved by two hours in the refrigerator or 30–40 minutes in an ice-water bath.
If you don’t finish a bottle of Chardonnay, replace the cork and stick it back in the fridge. The flavors will stay fresh for 2–4 days.
Food match
fresh cheeses like goat cheese, but also aged cheeses like gruyere and gouda, any fish but I prefer it with white meats like chicken and pork tenderloin.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Camille Benitah
- Camille learned her craft in Bordeaux, France working at very prestigious Chateaux there. She moved to California and was the winemaker for one of Napa's most sought-out cult wines, Merus ($150 a bottle).
- But like all real artists, Camille wanted to make her own wine, her own way -- and Angels allow her to do just that. She's uncompromising and fiercely protective of her wines every step of the way.
- We didn't hold anything back with Camille. She gets to make her dream wine, no holds barred, and the results are spectacular.
