Best before
This Chenin Blanc has a beautiful, clean, refreshing acidity that is paired with good fruit depth. These characters makes for a good refreshing drink now and yet the same acidity is what will give this wine good legs to age for up to 4-5 years.
Serving advice
Enjoy very cold in its youth and just below room temperature when aged to let the right set of flavors come through, depending on when you're enjoying your bottle.
Food match
I prepared a beautiful open sandwich (sarmie in South Africa) to go with this Chenin. Two thick cuts of ciabatta bread drizzled with olive oil; this is followed with thick slices of avocado sprayed with fresh lemon juice, and topped with salt and pepper. Add in thinly sliced parma ham or any dry-cured ham topped with fresh raspberries to compliment the ham and wine. Drizzle again with a good quality olive oil.
