About the wine
Elegant Pinot from an exclusive sliver of Willamette Valley
- This delicate red is an anytime staple. It’s flush with dark berry flavors, silky-smooth and has that signature fruit-driven character of Ribbon Ridge.
- As Oregon’s smallest winegrowing region nestled in Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge produces the teensiest amount of the state’s Pinot. Thanks to your funding, Chris can harvest pristine grapes from the area’s most exclusive vineyards!
- Anywhere else, an Oregon Pinot this top-shelf would go for much more, but Angels get it for a song – grab a few bottles while it lasts!
Best before
It is ready to drink now, however will get better over the next year or two. Not that you'll have the patience to leave it on the shelf that long!
Serving advice
A bit of decanting within the first 6 months of release, or simply opening a half hour before drinking may be beneficial. It will continue to get better and open up as it sits.
Food match
My recent favorite pairing is beef stroganoff with home grown Oyster mushrooms (or wild picked Chanterelles) but my all time favorite is a grilled pork tenderloin with a touch of curry powder and brown sugar served with a root vegetable medley.

Great Pinot, went great with a NY strip. Will definitely order again.
Delicate woodsy nose. Fruity and smooth. Long finish. Elegant indeed. Delicious.
I didn’t love this the first night but it redeemed itself on day 2. It opened up revealing beautiful cherry fruit with just the right balance of acid and tannins.

Gorgeous light crimson color. Subtle earthy nose. Nice acid / tannin balance, good fruit, and delicious flavor crying out for roast salmon or pork tenderloin.

Happy belated New Year Angels!
I hope everyone's year is starting off smoothly. We are busy bulldogging (taking the wine out of barrel) the 2022 Dundee Hills. We chose to do an extended barrel aging with this wine so after 2 years in barrel it is finally ready! However, the bottling and time to rest from bottle shock will still take a couple months so you will not see it until May or so. I can't wait for you to try it!
I know I am starting to run low on options for Pinot Noir currently. The Chris Baker Ribbon Ridge Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022 is already getting low on inventory as well. Please pick up some of the Chris Baker Yamhill-Carlton Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2021 or 2022 in the meantime to hold you over. They are both beautiful wines, and will continue getting better as time goes on. I know they are a bit more expensive than the Willamette Valley blend but are worth it. I know it is winter time but you can always give the whites a try as well.

One of my favorite Pinos from Naked Wines. Smooth, mild body, fruity, full of flavor and versatile. It goes with everything. Sipping on some while eating spoonfuls of cottage cheese. It goes with everything.

Alissa ans I loved the 2022 vintage of Chris Baker’s Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir. It lived up to the high standards of his past Pinot Noir releases. It’s thus conistent excellence thet keeps us ordering every wine from Chris’ range. If you have not yet tried one of his wines, then Alissa and I strongly recommend that you do. You will not be disappointed!
