About the wine
Vibrant, stunningly smooth Oregon Pinot Noir, barrel-aged to plush perfection
- A vibrant core of luscious dark berry flavors blends seamlessly with a touch of subtle spice in this silky-smooth, complex and perfectly polished Pinot Noir from unmatched Willamette winemaker Chris Baker.
- Your funding gave Chris access to fruit from the Yamhill-Carlton and Dundee Hills regions, home to some of the finest pockets of Pinot Noir in Oregon. Then Chris barrel-aged the wine for nearly a year for an unforgettable finesse.
- Thanks to you, Chris dubs the 2019 vintage “the best Willamette Valley Pinot yet.” Take home a bottle of this prized Pinot and taste it for yourself!
Best before
It is ready to drink now, but will also get better with time. The blend has enough structure and acidity to hold up for a long time in bottle. It will continue to get better for the next few years, if you're able to make it last that long.
Serving advice
A bit of decanting or opening 30 minutes before drinking may be beneficial. It is smooth on its own, but will also pair with most food. If you open it while you are cooking, you may want to have a second bottle ready because it may not make it to dinner otherwise.
Food match
I would have to go with a charcuterie plate with terrines and a duck rillettes. Or perhaps duck confit salad, some barbecue chicken, or my favorite dish to cook -- a pork loin with a light curry caramelized glaze. If it is in the fall, I would suggest fresh pick wild chanterelle risotto.
