Coni Old Vine Carignan 2018
About the wine
Constanza's Carignan is a smooth Chilean delight you just can't miss
With deep, lush flavors of dark fruit and a light touch of spice from a year of oak barrel aging, Constanza’s Carignan strikes the perfect balance between bold, ripe tastes and a refreshing brightness.
Constanza sourced this red from a more than 60-year-old vineyard, planted in an area of the country where growers use traditional dry-farming techniques. The older vines yield less fruit than younger, more productive vineyards, but that means the flavors in each grape come out far more complex and concentrated.
By using older vines with less fruit, Constanza only had enough grapes to make a small batch of this sublimely smooth red – make sure you scoop some up before it’s all gone for good!
Best before
This red will age well for up to 5 years.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Constanza Schwaderer
- Constanza is an award-winning winemaker with great pedigrees and oodles of 90+ Parker scores. She had a nice job at big time Chilean wineries.
- But when she tried to promote a small group of indie winemakers in Chile, she lost her position – for defending the little guy. Now, with Angel funding, she's back to making the wines she loves – and doing a heck of a job!
- If you love juicy wines, Coni is going to knock your socks off every day of the week with big fruity wines that always overdeliver.
