About the wine
Plush, barrel-aged Pinot Noir - a Reserve specialty from a California legend
- David’s elegant Pinot Noir is steeped in luxurious, refined red fruit flavors, the likes of juicy red cherry and raspberry, and layered with a trace of vanilla and a lush, mouth-filling finish thanks to generous barrel aging.
- David and this Pinot go way back. He knew of this cool-climate site in the Sacramento Delta before vines were even planted here. In fact, David convinced his grower friend to plant Pinot Noir here, knowing the conditions were perfect to one day produce top-grade grapes.
- Your funding not only brought David’s dream Pinot to life, you’ve also helped him give it the full Reserve treatment, including aging in French oak barrels for a next-level decadence that celebrates everything this vineyard has to offer. All that’s left is to treat yourself to a glass – or two!
Best before
This Reserve Pinot is ready to be enjoyed now, but also has the structure to age well for years to come.
Serving advice
If opened early, I would suggest decanting and allowing the wine to rest for several hours. I think it would even be advisable to open the bottle the day before enjoying it.
Food match
Being Asian, I hesitate a bit to recommend Asian food, yet it does fit the bill nicely because of the softer tannin profile and lower acid level. A nice herb-crusted lamb chop or salmon works well too.
Contains sulphites
