About the wine
Barrel-aged Reserve Cab with HUGE rating!
- This elegant and mature Cab is just dripping with dark fruit. It's almost chocolatey, with a nudge of vanilla and spice.
- From the same vineyard David used for his rave review Clarksburg Cabernet, but held back for an extra year and aged 18 months in expensive oak barrels.
- David tastes every single barrel for final approval to make sure that this is a well-aged fine wine. It stands toe-to-toe with well-aged meats, like a dry-aged Porterhouse steak.
Best before
Drink now or hold for 5-7 years.
Serving advice
Decant and let breathe for about 30 minutes. Will develop richness and complexity over the evening.
Food match
With a wine with such good acid but great structure you could have this with many dishes. From a seared salmon to a hearty pasta, or a big ribeye steak.
Contains sulphites
