About the wine
The Italian sportscar of red blends
Big and flashy can be great - and this big ol’ blend hits the spec. Gobs of black cherries and tart fruit take your tastebuds on a ride.
Primitivo, Montepulciano, Aglianco, Nero D' Avola and Teroldego are all inside. David made a monster red highlighting Italian grapes rarely found in California. It's an homage to classic reds - in the richest way.
“This red is as solid as the Colosseum,” says David. Let it zip you around on an Italian tour, and stop for a big hearty steak and pasta break.
Best before
This wine will certainly age well
Serving advice
I'm surprised how well it is tasting now and I'm sure it will also reward some patient cellar aging too.
Food match
Not a local food, but if you can make a Florentine steak, it would be well worth the effort.
Contains sulphites
