About the wine
A special blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Albariño
Citrus, pineapple, pear... whoa. This crisp mix of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Albariño puts new zeal into New Zealand whites!
With your support, Nicky harvested these grapes from New Zealand’s North Canterbury region, where the the clusters ripened slowly to preserve their brightness and intensity.
"Te Pae" means "gathering place" in Maori, and that's exactly what Nicky's wine is — a mouthwatering, fruit-forward blend that makes you feel right at home.

This blend did not work for me; it felt like too many flavors in conflict

Absolutely delicious wine and very versatile. Often sold out, so decided to subscribe for each vintage.

Pale yellow on the pour, this unique blend from NZ has flavors I've never expected to discover in a wine. The nose opens up to a standard Sauvignon Blanc aromas of ethyl and zesty fruit. The first sip is a shock of juniper berries, pine sap, creamed corn, and tangerine that tapers nicely into a bouquet of chamomile, cranberries, and lemon zest. This is a wine I should not enjoy with its crisp white tendencies, but Nicky does a superb job of blending all the varieties into a unique experience in a bottle that should appeal to a wide audience of wine drinkers.

An explosion of crisp fruit flavors on my tongue! A delightful mix of 3 of my favorite whites.
Follow up note: I recently poured a glass of this wine and somehow got distracted and didn't finish the last swallow. The glass sat until the next afternoon and when I took it to clean it, that is when I discovered the glass wasn't empty. I thought to myself, "what a waste" certainly it is now oxidized and will taste nasty. To my surprise, it wasn't, and all the crisp flavors were now smooth and more rounded!

Crisp, fruity, citrusy. I had never heard of Te Pae, but would definitely order it again!
