- Stephen even aged this luscious red in French and American oak barrels for an extra splash of richness and complexity. One sip and you’ll know why Angels can’t get enough of it!
Best before
This Cabernet's character will grow in complexity if aged for the next few years. So you don't have to drink it all in a hurry. In fact, we recently opened a bottle of my 2016 Black Label Cab and it was lovely.
Serving advice
While this wine is young, you should probably open it up 30-45 minutes before you plan on serving it. Or you could do like me and start sipping it right away and enjoy the journey.
Food match
Big, full-bodied Cabernets cry out for beef and this wine is no exception. Lately I've been serving it with a 3-finger rib steak, slow-smoked until it reaches 125ºF, relaxed for 15 minutes with a melted herb butter sauce and finished over flames. I know, it sounds like a lot of work. But trust me, it's worth every minute of effort.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
