About the wine
Lush, single-vineyard Zinfandel from your 3-time Winemaker of the Year
- This refined Zinfandel is bold, juicy and mouthfilling, like a handful of fresh, ripe raspberries, or a spoonful of blackberry jam, with a light touch of oaky spice that guides your tastebuds to a long, luxurious finish.
- Your funding gave Stephen access to Dickson Road, an esteemed 40-year-old vineyard in the heart of Amador County, where special head-trained vines grow Zinfandel with deeply concentrated, complex flavors.
- Save a special spot on your wine shelf for this Zin. Stephen calls the Dickson Road vineyard “a wine lover’s paradise.” One taste of this scrumptious Zin and you’ll instantly know why.
Best before
My Dickson Road Zinfandel should age very nicely for the next five to 10 years. With careful cellaring it will only get better.
Serving advice
I always plan to open this wine 30-45 minutes before serving that first glass.
Food match
You've got me thinking about having a glass of Zinfandel and now I'm thinking of getting the pork prime rib rack from Costco. I trim it as a two-rib portion to pan sear in the cast iron and then finish in the oven. So simple. We also serve with mixed roasted veggies that compliment the pork.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
