- This Shiraz packs a lavish punch of big dark fruit flavors – an unmistakable California cool touch.
- Working with vineyards a bit off the beaten path is Stephen’s specialty. A little exploring in Lodi and you can easily come across sensational reds like this sultry Shiraz for an absolute steal.
- This is a BIG guy. Open and let it breathe for about 1 hour before you enjoy a glass. You’ll be rewarded.
Best before
My Shiraz will really take to cellaring if that's something you'd like to do. It will taste pretty solid when it's released too.
Serving advice
Shiraz has the reputation for sucking up all the oxygen in a room (bottle). This Shiraz might take some time to open up after opening, but please be patient, the upset will soon pass and everything will be smooth and perhaps even mellow. Just like those people you know.
Food match
Over the last year we've really gotten into braising. Liz has a favorite enameled frying pan the really helps set the sear on the stovetop and locks in the flavors when you pop it into the oven for finishing. We even tried it on rabbit, delicious.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
