This bottling of Dickson Road Zinfandel will age nicely for the next five years or so and only keep getting better. But it is also made to drink upon release. Decisions, decisions.
Serving advice
This wine should need about 30-45 minutes of breathing exercise to be at its best. I know I won't wait and I'll be very sad when I pour the last glass.
Food match
This time of year we always fix the pork prime rib that Costco has for the holidays. We've been talking about cutting a two-bone sized portion that will first get seared in the frying pan and finished in the oven - just like we prepare a filet roast. Roasted vegetables will complement the sides.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
