About the wine
Rave review BBQ wine
- Bold, dry Malbec that shows Lodi can do more than just big inky Zinfandel.
- JC has been working in Lodi for ages so he knows where the best fruit is and gets first dibs at harvest time thanks to Angel funding.
- Anytime we get a big wine that drinks this smoothly, we know it will be a hit. It's big enough for red wine lovers and smooth enough for folks just getting into dry reds.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - JC van Staden
- JC is an all-star in California's Central Valley with a hand in producing many of the award-winning wines in the area like the Peltier Station Teroldego that unhooked a couple gold medals and a "Best of Class" award last vintage.
- His job lets him spot great fruit that stands out, so he separates that to make great wine that always overdelivers.
- We're really excited to have a Lodi winemaker who specializes in big, beefy reds because these are typically expensive-styled wines, but he's delivering them at really impressive prices.
