About the wine
Bold and juicy Cab from your favorite red-haired Rebel
This Australian Young Winemaker of the Year returns again with a gorgeous plum-colored Cab that’s full of blackberries, raspberries, a touch of licorice and a long, toasty finish.
The heavier rainfall in Northeast and Central Victoria made for an exceptionally amazing batch of grapes for this vintage – plump and rich, they add endless layers of rich depth to a crowd-favorite red.
From the careful fruit handling to her meticulous production process, there’s a reason why Jen’s Cab Sauv dwindles down to a big fat goose egg each year. And with the ideal growing conditions that played out for this vintage, you’ll want to snatch up a bottle quick.
Best before
My Rebel Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious now and can be aged in the short term for 4-5 years until 2023.
Serving advice
I recommend opening and decanting or allowing to breathe for 2-3 hours prior to serving.
Ideal serving temperature is 57-64°F. Once opened, my Rebel Cabernet Sauvignon is best consumed within two days to maximize its freshness and flavor.
Food match
Cabernet Sauvignon and lamb are a classic combination in my family home. My mum's roasted leg of lamb, served with roasted potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, sweet potato and green beans is a favorite with my Rebel Cabernet. For a vegetarian twist, try it with a home-made mushroom and goat's cheese tart.
