About the wine
Velvety-smooth, powerfully fruity Shiraz straight from Down Under
- Jen’s bold and juicy Shiraz is a Down Under stunner, dripping with rich, ripe flavors of red berry fruit and humming with a touch of spice and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth smoothness.
- To bring you this tastebud-tingling red, Jen sourced first-rate Shiraz from a trio of vineyards spread across her home region of Victoria, and blended the fruit together for a mouthwatering Aussie red you won’t be able to put down.
- This rowdy red is ready to be enjoyed on arrival, but with flavors this powerful and complex, Jen suggests giving it at least an hour or two to breathe after first popping the cork out.
Best before
Jen recommends aging her Rebel Shiraz for the short to medium term. It's so very hard to resist now, she says, but it will mature beautifully until about 2023.
Serving advice
Jen recommends serving her Rebel Shiraz at 57-64°F, and opening or decanting it for a couple of hours before serving.
Food match
"My Rebel Shiraz can certainly handle a bit of heat from the kitchen," Jen says. "The spicy flavors in the wine complement the food perfectly." Try it with a spice-crusted beef filet with masala potatoes and split peas; a chickpea and cauliflower pilaf; or chilli peppers stuffed with spicy beans and rice.
