About the wine
Single-vineyard Reserve from your Chenin champion
- This is a serious white, barrel fermented in neutral French oak – but Alex kept it thirst-quenching and fresh with flavors like citrus and ripe summer pears.
- Alex's Chenin has received 90%+ ratings year-upon-year, so she got special funding to create a Reserve edition – 100% harvested from Prince Vineyard, the Clarksburg property she loves. "It's flood-irrigated," your winemaker says, "and it has deep soils, so grapevines are able to nestle down deep and soak up all the flavors and minerals of the land."
- Just 500 cases exist, because it's a special single-vineyard project. But if you love it, she can make even more barrels' worth next year. Hint, hint!
Best before
I think you could hold on to this bottle for quite a few years and it would age beautifully. It has the acid to do so. I think you should buy a few bottles so you can try some now, some over the summer, and some with a little bit of age. That way, you can help me make it again, and you can decide if you want more of it!
Serving advice
I'd make sure to chill this bottle down before you open it, then once it's nice and chill take it out and pour yourself a glass or two or three!
Food match
A cheese platter filled with fresh and dried fruit and nuts would be a perfect way to start the night. I'd also go for oysters, a delicious roast or pasta. I think this wine will go with just about anything. It should be a crowd favorite.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Alex Farber
- Alex's first job out of winemaking school was for a famous Napa Valley winery. She absorbed its classic traditions and techniques, but she knew her own dream – to make classic wines joyous and modern – would be years away.
- Most young winemakers have to work 10, 15, even 20 years to earn a Winemaker title. Alex's big dreams weren't going to wait, so she asked Angels for a jumpstart, and they launched her into the big leagues.
- It was a clever investment. Not only is Alex one of Naked's top winemakers, she's earned Best in Class, Double Gold and Gold medals for her independent wines produced with your support. And she's just getting started!
