About the wine
Your favorite California red - with a Portuguese twist!
- Ana set out to make a Tempranillo with complexity, great structure and an intense fruit finish.... true to its Portuguese roots, but with a mean California twist.
- Thanks to ample California sunshine, this wine grew up to be complex and muscular, full of flavors like dark cherry, blackberry and raspberry and a chomp's worth of chocolate bar.
- Your exclusive Tempranillo is actually part of a trio of Portuguese reds Ana's made from Amador County... collect all three while you can!
Best before
Due to the fact that this wine presents an immense tannin profile, rich in color, and with great acidity, it will age in your cellar over a long period of time. I'd dare to say, 5 to 10 years! However, if youre patient enough, and decant it for 1 to 2 hours, you can enjoy it right away. Pour yourself a glass, while you wait.
Serving advice
Yes, please be sure to open it at least one hour before planning on drinking it, so all the flavors can fully emerge, as well as to soften those powerful tannins.
Ideally this wine will be decanted for a couple of hours, so that all its unique aromas can fully be experienced. It will also subdue the tannin profile.
Food match
This is a full bodied wine, which will pair great with hefty dishes, like an exquisite charcuterie plate, or a rosemary-rubbed leg of lamb. It will also pair really nicely with a nice barbequed steak.
Contains sulphites
