Sam has a lifetime of expertise working with the classic wines of his home region in Victoria, South Australia. Thanks to your funding, he can channel his deep winemaking know-how into this Cabernet, crafted from prime vineyards throughout the region.
This Aussie Cabernet pairs wonderfully with all kinds of juicy ribs and BBQ fare.. Sam says, “It’s a great wine to have in the glass while you stand around the barbie chatting with friends and family.”
Best before
This will age, but I think it is a great drink now and over the next year or so for the primary fruit and pretty aromatics.
Serving advice
No need to decant, but serve below room temperature. Put in the fridge for about 20 minutes to bring down the temperature.
Food match
Our 17-year-old son Ed has been working to perfect pan-seared, butter-basted steak. Ed's cooking and this wine bring together 3 of my favorites - steak, salty butter and a full-bodied red! If you're feeling indulgent, give it a go!
