About the wine
Primo Paso Robles Cabernet
- This Angel-favorite Cabernet is overflowing with refined dark fruit flavors of plum, blackberry and blueberry, sprinkled with traces of mocha and soft spice from 9 months of lavish oak barrel aging.
- Your funding gave Sharon special access to exquisite Cabernet harvested from a handful of top-grade vineyards in Paso Robles – home to the most sought-after Cabernet on California’s Central Coast.
- For a prime example of high-quality Paso Robles Cabernet that over delivers and then some, this is the Cabernet for you – with a special savings just for being an Angel!
Best before
This Cabernet is wonderful now after giving it a good hour or so to air out and breathe prior to serving. It will only get better with more time in the bottle and will age well through 2028.
Serving advice
I recommend letting this wine open up and air out for an hour prior to enjoying it, to allow the wine time to breathe and open up for full aromatic and flavor development. I also recommend letting all of your wines rest for a minimum of 2 weeks after receiving them to allow them time to recover from the shipping. The shipping really does impact the aromatics and flavors of the wine.
Food match
Short ribs, filet mignon, pork tenderloin, leg of lamb, crispy skin duck breast or BBQ would all make perfect pairings with this Cabernet.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Sharon Weeks
- It started as a few odd jobs in the cellar, and turned into a winemaking gig. Over 30 years later, Sharon can't imagine ever wanting to do anything else.
- Sharon's responsible for making some seriously great wines for others – thousands over her 30-year career. But she's always disappointed after the wine's shipped off... all that hard work, and she never hears what becomes of it!
- Now that you've made her an independent winemaker, she loves sharing her big, enthusiastic winemaking style with Angels – and hearing what you think!
