Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of wines sold at other companies, that have received the same customer ratings or awards from third parties.

About the wine
Bold Spanish red from the heart of Lodi
- Dark, delicious flavors like blackberry and black cherry dance over a backdrop of spice with each smooth sip – ¡Olé!
- With warm days, cool evenings and little or no fog, Lodi is THE spot for growing Tempranillo in California. Your funding helps Macario pour all his expertise into putting his signature California twist on Spain's most famous red.
- The secret to making this high-end Tempranillo comes down to three things: “Lodi, Lodi, Lodi... It’s the climate that most mimics the vineyards of Spain,” says Macario. Now it’s yours to enjoy! ¡Salud!
Best before
It's young and will benefit with age. If you have time, wait about 6 months.
Serving advice
Open about an hour before serving and it will sing.
Food match
Tacos al pastor - such an amazing pairing! The spice of the Tempranillo complements the sweetness of the meat.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Macario Montoya
Macario worked his way up from cellar worker to Napa and Sonoma star winemaker – leading by example for other Latino winemakers.
While Macario is Napa-based, he’s garnered attention for his Mediterranean-style wines in California – his Lodi blends and especially his Macario Montoya reds from Contra Costa’s heritage vineyards – whose label depiction of the old vines shows off the artistic talents of his brother, Maceo Montoya.
With your support, Macario’s reach knows no bounds – he is Sin Fronteras – without borders. He gives back tenfold, creating opportunities for underrepresented Latino winemakers like him through The Montoya Opportnity Fund
