10/24 - opened and sipped - COLD - slightly citrus, very tasty! With salad (salmon, veggies) - delicious. A few nights later, cold - with Shrimp Pad Thai - lightly acidic, delicious. Finished a few nights later - not so cold, with salmon and peas - smooth with a bit of oak. Will definitely order again! Thank you for creating this lovely Chard for us!

Nov 2024 - opened and sipped with no air: some tannins, dark fruit underneath. First night: smooth and fruity with carrots and beets, hot with brussels; with beef - a bit of heat, then smooth. A couple nights later, with pizza - some fruit, smooth - yum!

Opened and sipped alone before dinner. I let it sit out for about 30 minutes, so it was quite cool but not COLD. Lightly dry, lemony. Yum. Then with chicken salad and a green salad - pretty much the same as it was alone. DELICIOUS! I guess I enjoyed it so much I forgot to comment on any meals after the first! Ha! I found another comment :-) With salmon and salad dressed with a balsamic vinegar but didn't mention which - slightly dry and tart... With Pad Thai - very tasty, smooth, excellent pairing! Thank you, Franc - for all your wonderful wines.

Franc Dusak Reinke Vineyard Los Carneros Skin Fermented Pinot Gris 2022

I sipped Franc's tasty Pinot Gris with three different meals, and enjoyed it with all. First evening: salmon risotto with peas and corn - semi-dry, fruity, smooth. And with chocolate cake (and this surprised me) - slightly dry but delicious! A few nights later: with salad (fig balsamic) - quite dry; Thai Peanut Noodles - some definite heat at first, then smooth and very tasty. Ten days after first opened (refrigerated, of course): with quiche - dry, soft, fruity; and pork with a bourbon peach sauce - definite fruit followed by some heat. Thank you, Franc, for all the yummy wines you make for me (oh - and others, of course!) ;-)

Cheers, Wayne! I opened and sipped directly out of my wine fridge, set at 60 F. Very tasty, although a bit dry. With salad (greens, farro, shrimp, tomato, craisins, lemon balsamic) - delicious, crisp. The next evening, with salad again but chicken rather than shrimp - a bit tart, dry, tasty. How I drank the whole bottle in two evenings, I don't know! But yummmm 4.5 rather than 5 because I REALLY LOVE your Eponina! Is there a rumor that more will be out shortly??

Not sure when I opened this bottle - no notes on first meal. Second meal - wine straight out of fridge - dry, limey; a bit later, with crab cake - not as dry, less limey, yummy! A few nights later, again cold - sipped alone - slight 'tin', tart; with salad - not as cold, softer, tart white fruit (not citrus-y); with crab cake - even softer, fruity; and just for fun, I sipped a bit with ice cream. I don't recommend that pairing! More in my basket for my next order! Thank you, Franc, for all the delicious wines you create for us - while keeping an eye on ALL the wines!

3/24/24 - Boosted this to a 5 hearts - took it to a birthday celebration and the four of us who preferred red (even though dinner was a shrimp casserole) all loved it! Another bottle just slipped into my basket! Previous bottle - gave it 4 hearts (I really need to get back in the habit of dating my reviews) Delighted that you made Syrah for us, Sharon! As usual, I uncorked and gave the bottle an hour of air. First evening, paired with: Ahi tuna drizzled with fig balsamic - moderately dry, dark fruit, tasty; Italian green beans - dry, light heat; homemade Irish soda bread...I need to stop doing this. My soda bread is offended by wine - it wants GUINEESS. And the only way I like Guinness is in "Black Velvet" - no, not the whisky, the cocktail of bubbly and Guinness. I know - it sounds like heresy, but it's good! Second night: steak & shrooms - light heat, dark fruit, silky smooth; corn and green chile tamale - moderate heat, tasty; green beans - more heat. A lovely addition to our wine list, Sharon - thanks again!

March 2024 Fresh out of the fridge: very dry, minimum flavors (at some point about 2 years ago, I lost taste and smell - did not have COVID or anything else - just poof! :-( Some taste is returning, but no smell) So in my reviews, I concentrate on pairings. First evening, paired with big salad (shrimp, veggies, apple, craisins, feta) - wine had warmed slightly but still quite cool - smooth, dry, slightly metallic. It did NOT like TJ's Triple Ginger Pretzels (I'm addicted to them) Second evening, cold but out for about 30 min, with seared Ahi tuna - smooth, dry; with shaved Brussel sprout salad with craisins and red onions - slightly acidic; with TJ's Super Bread (the best EVER!) - smooth with some fruit. I doubt I finished the bottle with two dinners - guess I forgot to make notes with the third. Thank you, Macario, for creating this very nice white wine for us. Since I've been one of your AAs for years, I've had previous vintages - I think I like this one the best. Will have to check that out :-) Did check - 2021 was a 4.5, too! The earlier ones were too dry for someone who came to NW with a strong preference for sweet wines (I'd outgrown Boone's Farm, but....)

Once again, it seems I liked it so much I couldn't take time to write a lot! One pairing: salad with a balsamic vinegar (didn't mention which - I'm addicted to them and have several flavors) - dry, smooth, mildly tart; grilled asparagus - slightly tart; pork chop - smooth, light fruit. An evening or two later, I finished the bottle. Alone - dry, lightly tart, lime-y, a bit metallic. With ice cream and a white chocolate chip & macadamia nut cookie - a bit sour but not unpleasant. Thank you, Franc - I'm so enjoying these wines from your native Slovenia!

YUM! Two varietals I don't think I've ever heard of! I only have about 10 to go before I hit The Century Club! Chilled - with Moo-shu Pork - dry, fruit, lightly tart Several nights later, at room temp with leftover hibachi - moderately dry, smooth, very tasty pairing! And the next night, finishing off the bottle - cold - with mahi-mahi, roasted vegetable ratatouiie - crisp and fruity; don't recall what I had for dessert, but my note is "Doesn't like chocolate" Thanks again, Matt, for the wonderful variety of wine you create for us!

Sipped this wine in April - my apology to you, Stefano, and Angels for not having R&R's in a timely manner. First sip - COLD - dry, pleasant, slightly acidic With salad (chicken, veggies) - lightly dry, crisp, fruity (not citrusy) A few nights later, again with salad (pork, Feta, veggies) - smooth, fruity (pear, peach?) Finished it off a couple nights later -alone - slightly dry, crisp; with white lasagna - smooth, soft, white fruit Yum! Thank you, Stefano, for creating such a lovely white wine for us. There are a couple bottles in my basket waiting for me to push the button!

COLD out of fridge - with salad (chicken, veggies) - moderately dry, slightly metallic, green apple - very tasty. A few nights later - again COLD. With salad - semi-dry, sweet-tart; with manicotti - smooth, sweet-tart like pineapple or a not-quite-ripe pear. Third night (not consecutive) - with salad - pretty much as above Thank you, Miriam, for creating this lovely Chenin Blanc for us.
