Luis Vieira Montaria Petite Sirah 2018

Color: Deep purple
Nose: Plum, blackberry, white pepper, with a hint of blueberry
Palette: Tart red raspberry, dark stone fruit
Finish: Sweet berry medley with hints of herb and pepper, thin but dry

Brought it over to a bbq was excellent

Please don't take this review personally or cou t it towards professional feedback: I just don't remember drinking this wine. I must have since it's not in my wine collection now, so I would try it again if it becomes avaibale in the future, but it's been too long since I drank it to have a detailed review.

Lots of fruit when first opened. Some spice at room temperature and some time to breathe.

Just didn’t hit us right… always taste soon after uncorking, 20-30 minutes later and full on for dinner. For us it just didnt “do it”. Had a somewhat “off” taste as it developed with a “bite” finish. Never met a wine I didnt like but can only say this one didnt impress. On to the next one please…

Sour taste and not pleasant to the palate.

This is a lovely, rich wine, but only if it is opened several days before you plan to drink it. We opened it, tasted it and did not care for it, Then we left it under vacuum seal for almost a week before trying it agin. It developed into a very drinkable wine with a raisin finish. Great with cheese!
