I brought 6 of these to share with the Sussex Wine Imbibers Group (SWIG), I think as a result of tasting an older vintage on tour. A nasty little virus has prevented us meeting for a while so this is the first of the six! I picked out the black cherry mentioned on the tasting notes described the pepper as white rather than black and missed the hint of dark chocolate, but certainly agree its a moreish wine that keeps you coming back for one last sip! The comments from the group included Mouth puckering & heavy going (both of which are positive comments from those who made them) and we all agreed the wine is currently dry but mega fruity, far to young and not yet mellowed. We all think will improve with age, except one who feared it may not change. After a debate we have scheduled to drink the second of six in July 2024 or 2025.
