Gilo Old Vine Blewitt Springs Grenache 2023
- Gilo Old Vine Blewitt Springs Grenache is sourced from a number of old vine (70-80 year old) vineyards, all of which are bush trained and dry grown. The grapes are hand-picked so they can be treated much more gently.
- This 2023 vintage was the last of 3 'La Nina' years, which means a cooler climactic cycle for South Australia. This resulted in a cooler season with few of the heat spikes associated with a usual ripening period.
- The result is a beautifully balanced wine with great perfume and lovely structure. A wonderful array of red fruits, think redcurrant and pomegranate, coupled with warming North African spices.

- Joost’s winery has won a rep among wine critics for producing some of the finest sauce in the Sauvignon Blanc universe. And Sauvignon doesn’t come any lusher than Pouilly Fumé.
- Think pure, vibrant, mouth-watering luxury in a bottle. Then give it an OBE. Joost's Pouilly Fumé is crisp, complex and posh enough to be served with a trumpet fanfare.

Marcelo Bocardo Grand Reserve 2021
-
A pioneer of blending Malbec with other grapes to show off Argentina’s full potential, every year Marcelo Bocardo makes a Grand Reserve out of his most outstanding selection from 300 barrels.
-
The 2021 is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from his vineyards in historic Maipu. Aged 18 months in French oak, the result is an elegant and juicy red with notes of spice, vanilla and walnuts from the oak.
-
Like all great Argentinian reds, it’s a match made in heaven with a juicy steak. The acidity cuts through the fat perfectly. And even better if it’s chargrilled on the BBQ with a medley of fresh vegetables, as the spiciness of the Cabernet Sauvignon complements the natural sweetness of the veg beautifully.

Matt Parish Petaluma Gap Chardonnay 2022
-
Petaluma Gap, a cooler climate region at the southern end of Sonoma County, is a rising star for producing world-class Chardonnay. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay, it’s strongly influenced by foggy mornings, sunny days, windy afternoons, and cool nights. The perfect conditions for producing high-quality Chardonnay.
-
Matt sourced grapes from four top-notch vineyards that provide a different expression based on location, topography, and soil type. The grapes were hand-picked, whole bunch pressed, and then barrel fermented in seasoned French Oak and sur-lie aged, to create interesting nuances, aromas, flavours, and mouthfeel.
-
Lemon yellow in appearance, the wine has classic citrus, stone, and tropical fruit notes, with complexities of spice, marshmallow, and creme brûlée. As it’s a Chardonnay, make sure to take it out of the fridge just before serving. Allowing the wine to warm slightly will make for the fullest expression of aromas and flavours.

Rabbit & Spaghetti Icon Reserve Shiraz 2021
-
Adam describes his Icon Reserve Shiraz as the pinnacle of his winemaking. He only produces a teeny-tiny amount each year, seeking to create a wine that is true to its vintage, region and his style.
-
It’s made using select parcels of high-quality fruit from three of Australia’s most revered Shiraz growing regions. The Barossa Valley for opulence and intensity, McLaren Vale for powerful fruit flavours and firm tannins that give the wine complexity and backbone, and Clare Valley for concentrated fruit with elegant flavours, structure, and acidity, giving balance to the richness of the Barossa & McLaren Vale.
-
Overall it’s a rich and powerful red with intense aromas of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate, with hints of vanilla, cedar, mint and anise. The opulent palate of rich forest fruits is supported by tobacco, mocha and sweet spice. While the rich texture, soft tannins and powerful structure lead to a lingering finish.

The Strasser Collection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
-
When the great Rudy von Strasser bought a small vineyard in Napa’s Diamond Mountain District region in 1990, his goal was to make Cabernet Sauvignon in the classic old-world style he’d learned early in his career at Chateau Lafite Rothschild, but using new world grapes, technology and equipment.
-
40 years of winemaking experience have produced a full-bodied, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon that has excellent longevity but is already tasting fabulous. It’s flush with ripe fruit flavours - cherries, plums and raspberries - plus a touch of vanilla from French oak ageing.
-
A 13-time winner of Wines and Spirits magazine’s ‘Winery of the Year’, legends don’t come much bigger across the pond than Rudy. Having already wowed US Angels with his kit, he’s over the moon to finally be sharing wines like this Napa Valley Cab with UK Angels too.

Weingut Kriechel Spätburgunder 'S' 2022
-
You may remember when Germany’s Ahr Valley was devastated by floods in July 2021. With your help, Naked raised over £50,000 to help repair the lives of the region’s winegrowers and Peter & Michael’s Spätburgunder ‘S’ was one very special wine we purchased as part of the initiative which has finally arrived - it’s definitely worth the wait.
-
The steep, sun-kissed Ahr Valley sides, slate soils, Grünlese (green harvesting) and unique oak barrels made from the Ahr’s native forests, have produced a wonderfully harmonious Pinot Noir that gives anything from Burgundy a run for its money.
-
It is velvety with a slightly toasty barrique aroma, and classic notes of cherries and dark berries. A delicious pairing with wild game, this is a wine that's made to be enjoyed on cool frosty evenings and summer days alike.

Cantine Bruni Marteto Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2022
- Morellino di Scansano is a DOCG appellation from the Southern part of Tuscany, in an area called Maremma. A popular holiday spot with beautiful beaches and natural parks that's also home to Morellino di Scansano, a Sangiovese based wine that’s totally unique to the area.
- Scansano is the village in the hilly side of the appellation where the Sangiovese is distinctively fruity in comparison to the Sangiovese of Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino, and much more rustic in style.
- A blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Syrah and 5% Alicante, it’s a beautifully deep ruby red colour, with fresh hints of red fruits and wild berry, all wrapped in smooth vanilla. On the palate it’s rich and sleek with a pleasantly vibrant acidity.

Carl Loewen Riesling Alte Reben 2022
(read more)
- Christopher and Karl-Josef are devoted to the Mosel, where their family have been making wines from some of the oldest Riesling vines in the world for decades. Their old vines produce very, very low yields, but the fabulous quality and intensity of the grapes would be enough to stop anyone in their tracks.
- Angel support has meant that Christopher and Karl-Josef can focus on working carefully with these historic vines to bring you some very special and totally unique wines, rather than letting them fall into the hands of someone who would simply rip them out and build a hotel.
- This stunning Mosel Riesling says everything you need to know about the quality of the region and its vineyards. It all starts with a complex flinty and slatey character, with a touch of perfectly tart, zesty citrus. Then comes a firework display of minerality for a breathtaking finish.

Crazy Wines Triangle 2021
- We made a pure Carignan in 2010 and we loved it! Powerful and complex with great ageing potential. We wanted to make one again but the right opportunity never presented itself. That was until 2021 when we finally had the opportunity to harvest another Carignan from a different vineyard. We fell more and more in love with it day after day.
-
Since we also had lots of Marselan that we felt just as excited about, we fell upon the idea of combining the two. Then it was just a question of carefully blending to create balance and complexity whilst preserving the distinctive personality of the Carignan. We also added some Cabernet for more structure, but we’ve kept it really subtle.
-
This wine has a very attractive nose of ripe berries, crème de cassis, slight minty accents and soft spices. It offers a vibrant medium body with integrated tannins. The finish brings loads of spicy berries and promises of more complexity in the years to come.

Mas Amiel Organic Pur Schiste 2019
- At Mas Amiel, we own 150 hectares of organic and biodynamic vineyards stretched across a 4km radius. All of which are defined by what we like to think of as our ‘X Factor’: calcoschiste soils!
- French Catalunya is the sunniest and driest part of France - this is great as sun, drought, and poor soils make for tons of concentration whilst our ‘X Factor’ provides the fruit with its distinctly fresh and elegant southern character.
- Dense and profound, this powerful red wine boasts a herbal character with notes of red berries, black cherries and plums. The palate has plenty of elegant tannins, underscored by fresh juice and a hint of stronger black berry flavours. This is followed by a tight minerality and a long, fresh and slightly spicy finish.

Caminho da Costa Reserva Tinto 2019
- The Caminho da Costa Tinto Reserva comes from the Pinhão Valley in the Cima Corgo - a small region at the very heart of the Douro. Although this is a region famed for its Port wines, the higher elevations of the region produce exceptional wines with a unique richness and longevity.
- This wine is grown on such slopes, using five different varieties of grape, all of which combine to create this modern expression of Douro Tinto.
- The Douro is all about the magic of the blend. All five grape varieties combine to create a firm structure and textured palate, before opening up into luxurious layers of dark jammy fruit and ripe red berries. It’s a wine full of vibrance and excitement, whilst staying true to its traditional plush and indulgent Douro Valley roots.

- Benito’s Para Muestra Un Botón hails from El Bierzo, a very small region in the northwest of Spain, which has been steadily making a name for itself over the last decade for the extraordinary quality of its wines and their distinctive character.
- Godello white grapes are considered the variety par excellence in El Bierzo. And with good reason - it's particularly fresh with very good acidity and structure. Not to mention, Benito’s family have been working with the grape for three generations, so there are very few who know how to make it sing quite like they do.
- It’s an incredibly versatile wine with a gorgeous pale greenish yellow colour. The nose is intense with stone and white fruit aromas, citrus notes and a mineral background, revealing its time spent in oak barrels. On the palate it is surprisingly fresh, with good acidity and an ever so delicate touch of sweetness.

Mischief and Mayhem Bourgogne Blanc 2021
Sorry, this wine is available exclusively to the Angels who helped make it happen. To find out more about becoming an Angel, click here.
- 'We source the 100% Chardonnay grapes for our Bourgogne Blanc from a number of different vineyard parcels in northern Burgundy, so that it’s not overly rich and displays a lovely acidity, minerality and purity.
- Fruit is the key here and given the vintage conditions in 2021, the fruit profile is more citric than tropical. On the palate the wine is clean and pure with a good depth of fruit, ripeness and weight.
- It has a lovely balance and a fine-boned acidic structure that supports everything beautifully. The finish is long and full, yet supple and refreshing. We hope it gives lots of pleasure to everyone who drinks it!'

- Scott’s 100% Tempranillo hails from Oregon’s Umpqua Valley, nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Coastal range just south of its famous neighbour, the Willamette Valley.
- Much like the Umpqua Valley, Tempranillo is one of Oregon’s hidden gems, thriving thanks to the coastal marine influence. This gives the grapes an extra dark colour, high acidity and intensely concentrated flavours.
- Its vibrant colour invites you into the glass with its vibrant purple colour, before delivering serious indulgence with flavours of fig and cocoa.

Stefano di Blasi Ripalti Organic 2020
(read more)
- A true Merlot from the coast of Tuscany, taking inspiration from one of the world’s most famous Super Tuscans, Tua Rita Redigaffi. It’s a wine that has received astronomical ratings and reviews, but in order to taste it, you have to pay over £200 for a bottle.
- Ripalti is very similar in both style and character to Tua Rita Redigaffi and was grown in the vineyard immediately next door in Suvereto. It’s a small appellation that has been quickly gaining a reputation for its high quality reds.
- The growing season here is exceptionally long, starting almost a month before the rest of Tuscany and ending almost a month after. All of this works together to form a truly distinctive Merlot, comparable to the perfect blackberry jam - extravagant and fruity with lots of fresh berries.

Artelan Rioja Reserva Edicion Limitada 2018
(read more)
- With his super-contemporary Edición Limitada, Tao is taking an exciting new look at Rioja. He’s selected wines from the best, low-yielding vines in the small wine growing region of Alavesa - and we reckon he’s landed on one of the best kept secrets in the wine world.
- The grapes grown here are notoriously intense and complex thanks to their low-yields, and are often featured in top Rioja Reservas. But it's increasingly difficult to get your hands on these kinds of grapes, as artisan growers in Alavesa struggle to fend off developers keen to rip up these precious vines and sell off the land.
- Your support has given Tao the confidence to buy up these grapes and forge long term contracts with their growers, giving you access to some of Rioja’s most stunning fruit. He’s selected historic parcels in the highest villages of Alavesa, giving this wine distinctive deep and complex cherry and mint aromas. There’s plenty of exotic fruit expression, with inky and herbal notes complementing the bright black fruit.

Bel Achillee Montagne Saint Emilion Organic 2020
- From the teeniest of estates with just 3 hectares to its name in one of the most distinguished appellations in Bordeaux, Olivier has played yet another blinder with this outstanding blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot
- Although he makes wine in one of France's most notoriously traditional regions, Olivier makes lively and exciting wines in a style that is truly his own. These vineyards are farmed organically and every last grape is picked ever so gently by hand.
- This style of wine from Bordeaux's Right Bank is quite the opposite of what you would traditionally expect... The Cab Franc brings a raspy freshness to the wine rather than depth or body. It opens slowly in the glass but your patience is rewarded with bright red fruits.

DRG Daryl Groom Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
- Daryl’s newest Cab comes from the Alexander Valley, one of the most well respected and premium appellations in Sonoma County, California. It’s one of 18 in total and is particularly well known for the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon it produces.
- The Cabernets from this appellation offer a refreshing contrast to its well known neighbour, Napa Valley. They have the flavour and complexity of Napa but with a touch less alcohol and a little more elegance.
- It’s deep and dark with all the traditionally unctuous cabernet characters of black fruits, vanilla oak and chocolate. At a first glance you might be expecting something big and dense, but in fact the palate is deceptively elegant, silky-smooth and intensely flavorful.

- When David Tofterup began making wines in the late 90s, his younger brother Jonas dreamt of following in his big brother’s footsteps. In 2019 after several years of travelling and working for different wineries, the time finally came to make the dream a reality.
- The brothers have been working with Monastrell for over 20 years and their Realizado is their dream bottle. They’ve captured the truest character of the grape by using some of the oldest vines in Murcia to really bring out its true potential .
- Deep ruby red in colour, this is a super powerful yet charming bottle. It has aromas of ripe black cherries and dark plums, combined with complex notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. The mouth is ultra-flavourful with perfectly balanced ripe tannins, refreshing acidity and a long finish.

Richard's Elgin Pivotal Chardonnay Reserve 2021

- In Elgin, it's usually a huge challenge to find Chardonnay - practically all of the best parcels get snapped up immediately. So trying to find exciting parcels in the Elgin Valley is like finding hen's teeth… rare!
- Lucky for us, our Richard Kershaw lives in the Valley itself and has a little black book filled with contacts who grow some of the best Chardonnay grapes in the valley. The parcel Richard sourced for his brand new Pivotal Chard is no exception to this very exciting rule.

Chateau Lafite Monteil Grande Reserve Bordeaux Superieur 2018

- You'll find Edouard's vineyard in the small region of ‘Entre Deux Mers’ (between two seas), which as the name suggests, sits between the Garonne and the Dordogne river, just 20km from Bordeaux and 25km from St Emilion.
- In 2018, the region had almost no rain from mid-July to September but thanks to the firmly-rooted vines, the vineyard didn't suffer from the drought and produced incredibly juicy grapes. The old Merlot vines were particularly bountiful, and were prime for turning into a seriously special wine.
- It's very intense on the nose, with strawberries, and light coffee notes. Upon tasting, it starts fresh and then develops beautifully to reveal the true power of this wine. You'll find soft yet intense tannins which linger elegantly long after leaving the mouth.

Chile diVino La Confundida Carmenere 2018
Marcela's La Confundida comes from a very special Chilean valley called Almahue. Utterly idyllic, her vines sit nestled between two rivers - in other words, the prime spot for Carmenere grapes.
With hot summers and cooling winds sweeping over the valley, Marcela's Carmenere ripens super slowly, translating into fruity, expressive wines with a lovely touch of spiciness and luxurious velvety tannins. Once the grapes have ripened to perfection, Marcela takes matters into her own hands, transferring the juice into French barrels for 14 months.
This makes for a fabulously creamy mouth feel that perfectly matches those silky tannins. You can look forward to ripe berry flavours and a hint of black pepper, framed beautifully by a background of vanilla, chocolate and toasty oak.

DRG Daryl Groom Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2020
(read more)
-
Superstar winemaker Daryl Groom has been making his top-class Sonoma Zinfandel for US Angels for going on 7 vintages now, with every single one rating 90% or higher. It’s a bold and deeply complex red from Sonoma’s most-coveted region for high-end Zin and this is the first time a shipload has made it across the pond, so we can’t wait for you to taste it.
-
In classic Dry Creek Valley style, this is a deep, dark, full-bodied Zinfandel with plenty of warmth and intense fruity flavour. You’ll get delectable notes of spice, cocoa, coconut and dark fruits, it’s almost like a rich fruit cake with the density of flavour. Yummy!
-
This is a super-rare edition of the DRG Dry Creek Zin and we’re lucky to have some in the UK. The 2020 vintage was devastated by bushfires, so Daryl had to call in some favours from other local grape-growers in order to secure enough fruit to make this wine. Even with the help, this was still a tiny vintage, so it’ll go like the clappers once word gets out that this luxurious Cali red has landed.

Winzerhof Landauer-Gisperg Organic St. Laurent Selektion 2020
Sorry, this wine is available exclusively to the Angels who helped make it happen. To find out more about becoming an Angel, click here.
- St Laurent is a real mystery grape grown in Austria’s Thermenregion . No one really knows where it comes from apart from the fact it’s loosely related to Pinot Noir and just like its relative, it can be a real task to grow.
- But the pay off is that it produces incredibly interesting wines, especially when you have a winemaker like Stefan at the helm. He hardly interferes during the winemaking process. The grapes are handpicked, de-stemmed gently and strictly machine sorted. This brings out the hallmark characteristics of the grape and alows Stefan to tell a real story with each vintage.
- St. Laurent delivers dark fruited, sturdy red wines with spicy notes and a lovely crisp finish - sitting somewhere between Pinot Noir and cool climate Syrah, it has the perfect balance of fruitiness, body, tannins and acidity.

- The grapes are picked over two days – the first section is picked earlier, bringing the red fruit cherry flavours, whilst the second section brings darker fruit like plums and cassis.

Tom Puyaubert Vinas Antiguas 2020
-
Tom Puyaubert is a champion of Rioja’s most overlooked and underappreciated grapes and none deserves his love more than Graciano - the star of his Vinas Antiguas.
-
Graciano is a fantastic grape naturally packed full of complex flavours that lends itself perfectly to elegant oak-aged wines like this. But because it only fully ripens if you grow it in low yields, most winemakers avoid it in favour of more prolific fruit. Thankfully Tom is a super-passionate and patient winemaker who’s willing to commit the time and effort required for his grapes to reach their full potential.
-
His Vinas Antiguas is packed full of all the dark fleshy black fruit flavours that Graciano is famous for, with lush blueberries and blackcurrants and a hint of spice. Almost like a Rhone Syrah. And by blending in some prime Tempranillo from his 100-year-old vines, then ageing this wine in French oak for 18 months, it’s all rounded out with a silky-smooth and classy finish. Mouthwatering.

Fattori Valpolicella Ripasso Col de la Bastia DOC 2018
(read more)
- After the success of my Amarone, I wanted to show Angels the Ripasso style of wine that has been made in my area for generations.
- The grapes for my Fattori Valpolicella Ripasso come from the 12 hectars of vineyard located in Bastia, between Val d'Alpone and Val d'Illasi and are hand picked during the last two weeks of September. We then use the traditional Ripasso method to re-macerate the Valpolicella wine from the pomace from the dried Amarone grapes, before ageing in 500/1000 litre oak barrels for 18 months.
- My wine is a ruby red colour, with soft woodland fruits, light spicy hints and with soft and balanced tannin. It's a wine that is more accessible than my Amarone, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Jimenez-Landi El Corralon 2020
-
This classy Spanish blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cab Sav is a celebration of Jose’s small village of Mentrida, where the locals have been making wines since Ancient times.
-
Mentrida generally flies under-the-radar compared to Spain’s more well-known wine regions. But its well-drained sandy soils - a rarity in Spain - provide deep mineral deposits to nourish the old vines planted there. The pristine fruit they produce is perfect for creating elegant and complex reds with more finesse than your typical Spanish powerhouse.
-
Pour yourself a glass and take a sniff, and you’ll just get lost in the aromas, they’re bright and intense, with fresh strawberries and raspberries to the fore, followed by subtle hints of spicy nutmeg and peppercorn, herbs and orange peel. Then on the palate you get a little more dark fruit with yummy brambles and cherries, and well-balanced fine tannins to round it out.

- A deep and intense ruby-colored wine, ripe yet elegant with a fresh profile provided by the Touriga Franca grapes, and a nice structural, full-bodied character from the Touriga Nacional.

Pasamonte Organic 2019
(read more)
-
Garnacha Tintorera is a beast of a grape commonly used in lighter blends to add oomphs of fruity flavour. But on its own it makes powerful, inky-dark, brooding wines that are some of the most sought-after on the Iberian peninsula.
-
The only catch is it’s a beast of a grape to work with and must be handled with care and precision. The key is perfect timing and an intimate knowledge of the fruit you’re working with. Thankfully, Rodolfo is a highly-skilled fourth-generation winemaker who knows his vineyard like the back of his hand, so he was able to time the harvest to perfection to make sure his grapes were nice, plump and juicy, without being too over-the-top.
-
This stunning 100% Garnacha Tintorera red is packed with lush black fruit flavours topped with subtle hints of coffee grounds, red fruits and a nice peppery spice. It’s big and juicy with the perfect flavours to match a nice plump roast duck or yummy cheese board. Rodolfo’s tip is a tangy Spanish cured manchego. Muy Bueno.

Pepper Street Syrah 2018
Sorry, this wine is available exclusively to the Angels who helped make it happen. To find out more about becoming an Angel, click here.
- With bold flavours of fresh blueberries and juicy plums, Rudi's captured the essence of Stellenbosch finesse in all it's plush, velvety glory. It's a well-balanced drop with elegant hints of warming mocha, a smidge of spice and the all important long smooth finish.
- The Stellenbosch sunshine, gentle coastal breezes and mineral rich soil make for conditions so exceptional that we wouldn't blame any self-respecting Syrah enthusiast for coming over a little bit giddy. These single-vineyard Syrah grapes are ripened to perfection, resulting in impressively refined but intense flavours.
- Rudi rounds off his carefully crafted process with 18 months of French oak barrel maturation to capture that signature Syrah smoky charm. Not one corner has been cut and the proof is very much in the bottle!

Plaisir de Siaurac Lalande de Pomerol 2019

-
Made in Lalande-de-Pomerol in the heart of Bordeaux, and right next door to Pomerol (home of the world-famous Petrus), this first-class French red has all the depth, richness, power and structure you’d expect from a luxury Bordeaux, but at a fraction of the price.
-
Long overshadowed by their more famous neighbours, Lalande-de-Pomerol wines have taken off in recent years, as those in the know realised you could find Pomerol-quality wines here for incredible value, like this little beauty.
-
It’s a special red wine, tailor-made to be shared with friends and family, with that lovely deep ruby colour in the glass. Then you take a sip and it’s beautifully lush and smooth, packed full of ripe dark and red fruits, with a hint of spice. Crack open a bottle of this with your mates, then just sit back and watch the jaws hit the floor.

Richard's Elgin Pivotal Chardonnay Reserve 2020

Tom Puyaubert Vinas Antiguas 2019
(read more)
-
Tom Puyaubert is a champion of Rioja’s most overlooked and underappreciated grapes and none deserves his love more than Graciano - the star of his Vinas Antiguas.
-
Graciano is a fantastic grape naturally packed full of complex flavours that lends itself perfectly to elegant oak-aged wines like this.

Luca Hodgkinson Anomalia 2020
Sorry, this wine is available exclusively to the Angels who helped make it happen. To find out more about becoming an Angel, click here.
-
Luca Hodgkinson is the genius behind some of Chile’s top artisan wines, but even he admits that Anomalia is ‘the most unusual and probably unique blend that I have ever done as a winemaker.’ Made from a mix of full-bodied Garnacha and light, fruity Blauer Portugieser, it’s a rich and luxurious wine packed full of dark and red bramble fruit flavours.
-
The real dark horse in this wine is the Blauer Portugieser, a native Austrian grape normally found in cooler European countries. It also has a tiny 3 hectare presence in Chile where Luca has access to 66% of the entire crop but it’s a tricky grape to work with because it ripens super-early. In 2019, Luca noticed that some of his Garnacha planted close by was also coming into fruit at the same time so he got a brilliant idea that he might be able to mix the two and thus, his mouth-watering ‘anomaly’ was created.
- Pour yourself a glass and the first thing you notice is the beautiful ruby colour, then you’re hit with fragrant aromas of spice and herbs that entice you in for the first sip. On the palate it’s lively with crunchy red fruits, cranberry and raspberry. This wine is lush and intense, perfect for pairing with rich pork or game but to really enjoy it at its best, our top tip is to let it breathe… give this wine an hour or so and you’ll see it evolve into something truly special.

Stepp Riesling vom Berg 2020
Sorry, this wine is available exclusively to the Angels who helped make it happen. To find out more about becoming an Angel, click here.
- On the south facing slopes of the Rhine Valley sits Gerd's vineyard - with lots of exposure to all the right elements and a winemaker like Gerd Stepp at the helm, you barely need to try the wine to know that the Riesling will be some of the most refreshing around.
- The grapes were organically picked from this single vineyard before Gerd set about using super gentle and low intervention processes to give this Riesling it's characteristic vibrancy and structure.
- Delicate notes of autumn apples, yellow peach with fresh tangy lime on the nose. This Riesling has a lovely crisp acidity and a superb fruity and spicy finish with apple, peach, citrus and ripe pineapple. A wine with great length, texture and structure.

Vino Atlantico Txakoli 2019
(read more)
-
Tao Platon grew up just a short drive from the Biscay vineyard where this wine was made. So it’s full of childhood memories of the people, places and delicious Basque country food he enjoyed growing up.
-
This wine comes from a picturesque single vineyard with ideal grape-growing conditions. Its steep, south-facing clay soils, warm sunny weather, and cooling sea breezes make for super-ripe Hondarrabi Zerratia fruit - a local variety that grows in small-berried bunches, concentrated with lush and aromatic flavours. As soon as Tao laid eyes on this beautiful patch of grapes, he knew he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a wine here.
-
Txakoli is a Basque speciality that growers have been making there for generations. It’s a classy white with lots of lovely texture and minerality and just the slightest hint of a sparkle. It’s not a fruit bomb but its fresh and complex aromas - laced with tropical fruits, fresh nectarines, yuzu, and pineapple… with a subtle floral and herbal tinge - will charm your socks off.

Chateau Saint Hilaire Bastide Provence Rose 2020
(read more)
- This is the crème de la crème of pale pink Provence Roses from Bruno's historic family estate, Château Saint Hilaire. His family have been cultivating the land since the 1930's, with a keen focus on the quality of the soil and the important role it plays in producing high quality wines.
- This fine, silky Rose was made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes grown on Bruno's most exposed vineyard, so they haven't missed an ounce of warm Provençal sunshine or cooling breeze. Helping to intensify all the luxurious characteristics of the wine.
- The Grenache brings the body and the power, along with elegant hints of fresh summer strawberries and raspberries. While the Syrah provides plush flavours of vanilla and soft tobacco spice, with a silky mouthfeel. It's everything you could ask for in a posh Provence Rose and a little bit more.

Guy Bocard Bourgogne Cote d'Or 2019
(read more)
- This little chardonnay has been years in the making, with several generations of the Borcard family playing vital roles in making it the rich golden bombshell of a wine that stands before you today.
- The family have been cultivating their small vineyard in the Burgundy's Meursault region since the 1920s and have been taking their vines from strength to premium strength ever since. In fact, Guy's father is the one responsible for planting the now 60 year old Chardonnay vines behind the buttery rich Chard inside this bottle. The man deserves a medal.
- Grown at a breezy 230 meter altitude, the grapes are whisked away into posh French oak barrels. After doing it's thang for 12 luxurious months, this glorious Bourgogne Cote d'Or emerges a pale golden colour, with a full and blooming palate of ripe creamy peaches and a gentle, well considered touch of oaky warmth.

Hacienda Don Hernan Rioja Gran Reserva 2001
(read more)
- 2001 is considered a mythical vintage in Rioja, in fact some say they haven't seen anything like it since the early 70's. The conditions all fell perfectly into place, making for spectacularly well balanced grapes with an intensely vivid colour.
- Rodolfo remembers the excitement and anticipation of the 2001 harvest - everyone knew that this vintage was going to blow previous years out of the water. 'I remember perfectly that my uncle said "note the freshness in the mouth of these grapes They have good maturity, and a really special freshness."'
- This Rioja is truly one of a kind. The palate is fantastic; lifted, lively and enveloped with beautiful chalky tannins. The vibrancy and energy on the palate is a rare find. Velvet texture with lovely dark bramble fruits and oodles of freshness for a wine of this age.
